Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, clicking "I Agree," or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Service. If you are under 18, you may only use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Description of Service

Football Planner is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform designed to help football coaches plan and organize practices. The Service includes:

• AI-powered drill suggestions and recommendations
• Practice plan creation and management with customizable templates
• Hudl integration for importing athlete data
• Coaching notes and session tracking
• Position group management

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue features of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the accuracy of your account information
• Keeping your password secure and confidential
• All activity that occurs under your account

Each account is limited to one team. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Free Trial & Subscription

We offer a 14-day free trial that does not require a credit card. During the trial period, you have full access to the Service. After the trial expires, a paid subscription is required to continue using the Service.

Subscription Plans

• Monthly: $19 per month
• Annual: $169 per year

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will retain access to the Service until that date. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

5. User Content

You retain full ownership of all content you create within the Service, including practice plans, drills, coaching notes, and uploaded data ("User Content").

By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and operating the Service. This license terminates when you delete your content or close your account.

You agree not to upload any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access or collect data from the Service
• Share your account credentials with others or allow multiple users to access a single account
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its related systems

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action — including account suspension or termination — for any violation of this section.

7. Intellectual Property

The Football Planner application, including its source code, design, user interface, drill database, AI models, and all related intellectual property, is owned by TheAssistantCoach / Insomniac Labs. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our prior written consent.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party platforms to enhance functionality:

• Hudl — Read-only import of athlete and performance data. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Hudl.
• Stripe — Secure payment processing and subscription management.

When using third-party integrations, you must comply with those services' respective terms of use. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services.

9. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We are not liable for any coaching decisions, practice outcomes, or player injuries resulting from the use of AI-generated suggestions or any other features of the Service. All drill recommendations and practice plans should be reviewed by a qualified coach before implementation.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF FEES PAID BY YOU TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or otherwise misuse the Service. We will provide notice when reasonably possible.

You may delete your account at any time through the application settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Data retention after account closure is governed by our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

For material changes, we will notify you via the email address associated with your account at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the State of Connecticut.
